    Story Time

19 June 2020 (by Roy Peach (RoyP))

We're heading to China for today's story

Come with us as head across the world to China for today's story. It will be on our Youtube channel and also available at the link below at 2pm.

Afterwards, why not see what you can find out about the bird in the story. Could you draw or print a picture of it and find as many facts out as possible? Why not listen to its birdsong online (https://www.rspb.org.uk/birds-and-wildlife/bird-songs/what-bird-is-that/) and see if you can identify any of the birds either in your garden, from a window, or when you go for a walk?

In our story, a gift is given. Imagine a very important person has sent you a special gift. What is it? What is it made of? What does it look like? Sound like? Smell like? What can it do? Can you draw a picture?

I think the moral of today's story is about recognising the importance of things around us, rather than having things that cost a lot of money. What do you think? What things do you have around you that don't cost anything (or at least not a lot) that you are really grateful for?

Have a great weekend everyone. More stories next week.
