Children in Years 1 & 2 work in mixed age classes within Islands. Each morning they work on Maths, phonics & English and have daily handwriting, and number facts sessions too. Afternoons are spent exploring topics creatively, taking part in PE, Music and spending time outdoors. Each class has a weekly Circle Time to develop and maintain healthy relationships in class and beyond. RE is explored in blocks across the year - meaning we can immerse ourselves in the learning.

Islands Year 1 + 2
- What a wonderful week we have had in Islands as we approach the end of Autumn 2. The children have continued to work incredibly hard and are showing great excitement as we move into the festive period.
- The children in Islands have had a great week of learning, showing excitement, focus, and curiosity across all learning.
- What a fantastic four-day week it has been! The children have settled back into school routines beautifully and have shown great enthusiasm and focus across all areas of learning.
