To help us celebrate Black History Month, the author and poet, Samantha Rodgers, has donated two of her latest books as prizes for our St Frideswide Poetry Competition.
Are you like Technically Tayo, a little boy who has an answer for everything? Or, are you a Rhyming Roshumba, a girl who lost her words but kept trying until she succeeded?
There is a poet in everybody!
To enter the competition you have to make up your own poem. Your poem can be long or short, you can write it down or make a recording of you performing it. Two winners will get one of Samantha Rodgers books each as a prize.
Samantha has heard how amazing the children at St Frideswide are and so she has agreed to record herself reading the winning poems!
