Arctic class have been busy this term investigating the topic 'States of Matter. We have conducted multiple experiments to explore the properties of each state of matter.

This has included; 

• A challenge to blow up a balloon without using your mouth. The children were given a set of items to solve this challenge, including a bottle, paper, vinegar and bicarbonate of soda.
• An investigation to explore heating and cooling. The children used thermometers, water and chocolate to explore how best to melt chocolate.
• A practical to create our own mini water worlds exploring the water cycle. 

Next week we will be monitoring and evaluating our water worlds to see whether we have created effective conditions for the seeds to grow.
