Oxford University RFC take on the England U20 team at Iffley Road on Saturday 15^th January 2022. Please see the attached ticket form for details of prices and to book your tickets.

Tickets on sale from Monday 13^th December, with an ‘Early-Bird’ offer available for tickets bought before the 24^th December. Please note tickets are being sold in advance only with no sales on the gate on 15^th Jan.

Creative Writing Competition

Inspiring new writing, stories and voices from around Oxfordshire

Competition dates: Monday 6^th December 2021 – Sunday 27^th February 2022

The competition aims to inspire writers to tell their own original story and so is a great opportunity to discover unique writing voices. This year, children aged 7-11 are invited to write a short story (up to 3000 words). Other categories are for 12-17 year olds and 18+. 

The winner of each category will see their entries published as an eBook, to be made available to members of Oxfordshire Libraries to read and borrow in 2022. You can see last year’s winners here: https://oxfordshire.overdrive.com/collection/1210418

Reading Challenge

We’d also like to share with you details of The Reading Agency’s Winter Mini Challenge, a follow-up to their Summer Reading Challenge, which many of your children will have enjoyed. Once again, they are in partnership with the World Wide Fund for Nature.

Challenge dates: Wednesday 1^st December 2021 - Sunday 16^th January 2022

To take part in the challenge, children simply choose a reading goal, choose any number of books, eBooks and audiobooks, then rate and review them online.

Books added to the website during the six-week Mini Challenge period will count towards unlocking rewards including a virtual badge and certificate.  The website will also feature games, reading activities and book reviews.
