Outdoor maths for Indian class15 June 2022 (by Menna (Menna)) |
Indian class took to the garden and collected their own data in maths, revisiting our science knowledge while we did so. We used tally charts to record the total number of daisies, plantain and dandelions within a random area (selected by a thrown hoop to ensure it was random) in the shade and in the sun. Tomorrow we'll be analysing our data to see what it shows. Do more daisies grow in the shade or the sun? Why? Is it the same for plantain and dandelions? Why not carry out your own survey at home or in the local park? Which plants grow better in the shade than the sun? Golden house point to anyone who records their own data and presents it tomorrow!
