    Explorer's weekly reflect and review

11 November 2022 (by Zoe Goodin (ZoeG))

We have had an exciting week in Explorers. WE have cooked, created and challenged our selves in maths and computing.

This week Explorers have started practicing long distance running. We have learnt strategies to help us to be able to jog for a mile or more! In Maths we participated in the Primary Maths Challenge to help develop our problem solving skills. In design and Technology we designed, built, reviewed and improved arch structures, so they could hold weight. We also learnt to make pasta from scratch and a bolognese sauce to go with it. Thank you Donna for all your help with the cooking! We joined a coding workshop which helped us to use the app Scratch to develop our own game using code. Our coding was used to make a shark chase fish to try to win points. We have also been developing our resilience and problems solving by coding using Spike Lego. Following coding instructions to get our robots to move, make noises and light up.
