We also had an exciting new arrival.... it was a little Penguin Called Pip Pip who had come all the way from Antarctica in a suitcase, with a letter asking us to look after him for a little while. We are going to be writing some messages to him and his parents in Antarctica. 
In our drawing club we have enjoyed looking at the story Be Brave Little Penguin,  drawing and writing about the Penguin character as well as drawing and writing about what the Penguin might have seen under the sea and what his floaty toy would be. 
We learnt a new poem Let’s put on our mittens’ I wonder if your child can retell the poem to you at home. 
Next week we will be investigating the best way to melt ice and writing about Antarctica.
