Oceans Weekly Reflect and Review10 February 2023 (by Menna (Menna)) |
A fabulous finish to a fabulous term!
Oceans have rounded off their topic of Buildings this week by creating their own presentations with Google Slides to sell a world famous building. Several children have tried to sell the Eiffel Tower, Buckingham Palace and even the Pyramids of Giza! We worked on our presentation skills, thinking about how to present to the class, making sure we projected our voices and used lots of enthusiasm.
We had Explore Learning in today to work with us on building signs - using only horizontal, vertical and diagonal lines to design our signs.
After half term we'll be beginning our new topic of Trade and Transport, beginning by thinking about Rivers, their structure, the water cycle whilst we study and write our own poems based on rivers. We'll also be starting our Fractions topic - please help at home by talking about quarters, halves, thirds and counting in the fraction when sharing food or dishing up dinner.
In addition to the normal Tuesday slot, Indian and Arctic class will be taking part in Hockey next term on a Monday morning so will need their PE kits on both Mondays and Tuesdays.
Reports have gone home with the children today, please book an appointment using Pupil Asset for the Wednesday back after half term. They will be held on Zoom again.
Have a lovely, restful half term.
The Oceans Team.
