Coral Reef Weekly Reflect and Review

3 March 2023 (by Laura Thornton (LauraT))

We have been busy creating our 3D maps out of clay this week, the children have all demonstrated high levels of engagement, focus and concentration as they manipulated the clay using a range of skills and techniques.

In our drawing club we have been thinking about the story Not Now Bernard, talking about and drawing the characters as well as taking them on an adventure. Not only is Drawing Club lots of fun but it is really helping to develop a love of stories and  increase children's drawing and writing ability!

Next week we will be using clay again, this time to create monsters and we will use some of the techniques we have already learnt. We will be writing about our monsters too and coming up with a name for them.

On Thursday we are really excited to be taking part in the Oxford Lieder Project who are coming to spend the day with us, helping us to explore percussion  instruments, make music and sing songs!

On Friday 17th March at 1.30pm we are inviting all of the mums into school for a special Mother's day Tea, we hope that you have received your invite! Please let us know on the gate if you are able to come so that we can make sure we have enough hot drinks and cake!

Don't forget to help your child access their online reading and their book bag book.
