Coral Reef Weekly Reflect and Review24 March 2023 (by Laura Thornton (LauraT)) |
We have been working really hard on developing our writing by completing a range of writing tasks across this week.
We went to the ‘Pen Disco’ and practised making up and down and side to side straight lines with our pens on paper to music.
We have continued to work in small groups to write about our clay monster creations.
As part of our topic learning this week we looked at baby photos of ourselves and had fun trying to guess who the babies were. We then ordered pictures from young to old and wrote about what we wanted to be when we grew up.
Outside we looked for signs of spring and used iPads to take photographs. We then became colour collectors by finding things in nature to stick and match to different coloured pieces of paper.
As part of The Little Prince Project we joined Islands class to watch The Little Prince Movie on the big screen and enjoyed some yummy snacks and drinks. We are really looking forward to showing you all of the work we have done around the project so keep your eyes peeled for more information on when you will be able to come and see it!
Next week we will be creating monsters by blowing ink. We will be thinking about Easter and how it is celebrated by Christians. We will be continuing our journey to become brave writers as we revisit The Wild Things story.
Don’t forget to do your reading homework- reading the book bag book and the ebook on Oxford Owl. We can’t wait to get our prize basket out on Monday!
