    Ocean's Reflect and Review

19 May 2023 (by Menna (Menna))

A fun filled week in Oceans!

Our trip to the Cutty Sark and the Maritime Museum was fantastic - the children were blown away by the size of the boat and had great fun learning all about it's famous exploits. We even staged our own race with the Cutty Sark vs the Thermopylae. See if your child can remember who won?!

During the week we've been challenging ourselves to walk to school and have thought about our own mental health and reflected on how we can look after our own mental health. Well done to everyone who walked (especially those on Tuesday!). On Wednesday we enjoyed the Ascension service at SS Mary and John church with Claire and Father Phil, giving a particularly rousing rendition of This Little Light of Mine.

Next week is RE week - we'll be thinking about the big question: Does Jesus have authority over everyone? We'll be thinking about the parable of the Good Samaritan, taking part in Godly Play and retelling the story ourselves. We'll be busy finishing off gap filling and learning about money in Maths and exploring the bible in Reading.

We hope you have a wonderful weekend,

    The Oceans Team.
