Last week was incredibly busy with all of the transition days, but we hear they went well and know that the children are feeling much more prepared for September.

We have been working on our own versions of The Explorer which we are finalising and editing this week. We have been continuing with our unit on holidays in Maths - looking at conversions of distances and now moving onto the costs of holidays, thinking about all of the requirements, not just the cost of the flights and accommodation. 

In PE we really enjoyed our Livingstone v Darwin rounders matches, and are developing our athletic skills which we will be measuring this week.

This week we are off to St Catherine's college. We will be looking around the college, finding out all that universities have to offer, helping us to think about our futures and what we can achieve. They are also providing us with lunch. Livingstone are going on Tuesday 11th and Darwin on Thursday 13th. We will be leaving the college at 1:30 so will be back for normal pick up at 2:45. 

We are also very excited for the inter house football tournament that is taking place on Wednesday afternoon, having been suggested by the children themselves. Children taking part will need to wear PE kit including trainers.
