Anemones Reflect and Review8 September 2023 (by Lisa Brown (LisaB)) |
Wow! What an amazing first week we have had in Anemones class. It has gone so fast because we have had so much fun. We were delighted to welcome our children into their new class.
In phonics we have been thinking about environmental sounds, listening carefully to what we can hear outside.
In maths we have been developing our counting skills and recognising shapes. Maybe you can enjoy a ‘shape’ walk at home over the weekend!
Our topic for this term is based on the story ‘The Fabulous Foskett Family Circus’ and so we are using a range of resources to help develop gross motor skills. The children had great fun using the space hoppers and were great at hoola hooping! The weather has been beautiful so we have enjoyed water and sand play in the garden whilst sharing stories and making pies in the mud kitchen. Have a wonderful weekend and we will see you on Monday for another fabulous week.
