    Anemones Weekly Reflect and Review

15 September 2023 (by Lisa Brown (LisaB))

It’s been another busy week in the Anemones class as we focused on our circus skills! The children worked hard to develop their gross and fine motor skills using a range of resources.

This week the children enjoyed using the instruments in different ways in our music session, practising their fine motor skills at the dough disco and showed great skill as they created their own trapeze!

In phonics we have continued to think about environmental sounds and listened very carefully as we enjoyed a sound walk in the garden.

In maths the children have developed their counting skills and number recognition. We have been practising our counting sounds and matching numbers.

The children enjoyed a range of creative activities, mixing water colours, sorting the porridge and making some wonderful constructions with the mobilo. We went on an adventure in the garden as the children used the large wooden blocks to create an aeroplane . We went to the jungle and saw so many animals! The children worked together, developing their collaboration skills, sharing their knowledge and demonstrating their language and communication skills. It has been a busy but wonderful week full of fun learning experiences.

We hope you all have a lovely weekend and will see you back on Monday morning for another week of wonder and awe.
