    Oceans Weekly Reflect and Review

29 September 2023 (by Menna (Menna))

How did life change in Britain after the discovery of iron?

This week in Oceans's we've been thinking about how life changed and what that meant for the Celts. We've investigated how the discovery of iron put Britain on Julius Caesar's radar. Next week we'll be learning about what that meant for Ancient Britains and Celts and Roman warfare.

In Maths, we have finished our unit on Place Value (please check your emails for clarification about the maths home learning this week). We'll begin our unit on subtraction and addition next week.

In English, we've finished our sentence stacking about Skara Brae and are now looking forward to planning our own holiday brochures about Oxford.

We had a brilliant visit from Oxford Song where we developed our class lyrics - we can't wait to compose some music to accompany them!

On Thursday 4th October, Oceans will be holding a home learning parent meeting after school - please meet us in the conference room at the end of the day. We can answer any questions you may have.

We hope you have a wonderful weekend,

    The Oceans Team
