Oceans Reflect and Review10 November 2023 (by Menna (Menna)) |
Oceans have been crime solvers this week!
This week in Oceans, we've been busy investigating the mystery of the stolen diamond earrings as we learn about light. The children used all their powers of deduction to solve who stole the diamonds by using the science of reflection, shadows, how light travels and reflective materials!
Next week we'll be beginning our multiplication and division unit whilst in English we'll be reading the fantastic book Arthur and the Golden Rope and begin our new writing unit as we learn how to write out own myths and legends. In topic, we'll be investigating what happened in Britain after the collapse of the Roman Empire and answering the question 'Who were the Anglo Saxons?' We're really looking forward to our trip to Hill End on Monday 27th November to re-enact the Anglo Saxons vs Vikings which we'll be learning about this term. If you haven't already paid, please pay online using Pupil Asset.
Arctic class celebrated Diwali this afternoon and will be taking their jam jars home on Monday. Pacific and Indian class still need more jars so if you have any spare at home please send them in for our painting party on Monday.
We hope you have a wonderful weekend,
The Oceans Team
