    Anemones Weekly Reflect and Review

17 November 2023 (by Lisa Brown (LisaB))

Today the children engaged in a range of activities to celebrate Children In Need. We talked about the importance of kindness and how we help others.

In phonics his week we played ‘Grandmothers Music’. I wonder if the children will play this listening game at home with you? Using the musical instruments they listened and then copied Grandmothers tune.

in maths we have thought about numbers and been focused on developing our counting skills.

The children made beautiful tea lights and sticky lamps to celebrate Diwali. The children spoke about different celebrations they enjoy, who they celebrate with and how they celebrate different festivals.

Next week we will continue to think about nocturnal animals and how we can learn about the animals we don’t get to see very often. The children have been given the task of finding out a new fact about nocturnal animals and we are looking forward to sharing our new found information on Monday.

As the weather is becoming colder please can you ensure your child has a warm, waterproof coat and wellies in school to change into to play outside. If you can provide a hat this will also help to keep the children warm. All item need to be labelled in order for us to make sure they go home with the right child. Thank you. Have a lovely weekend and we will see you on Monday.
