Oceans weekly reflect and review26 January 2024 (by Menna (Menna)) |
Some fabulous creations in Oceans!
This week in Oceans we have planned, made and reviewed our very own artbot – a shaking, jumping, drawing artist. Some children found it challenging to work in a group but they didn’t give up and succeeded in creating the bot together.
We’ve continued to read Iron Man and have reached the point where the Iron Man is rebuilding himself and is exploring the underwater world. We’ve been writing our own versions of the story, using noun phrases, repetition and similes to make our writing fantastic!
During PSHE we’ve learned about how there are some things that we want and some things that we need and they not necessarily the same thing. We talked about how our body language can communicate our feelings with eachother.
Next week we will be continuing to learn about Iron Man and beginning to plan our own versions, in Maths we’ll be moving onto length and perimeter, exploring measurement. In Science we’ll be exploring plants and pollination – we will be dissecting and painting real life flowers.
We can't wait to hear about all the fun adventures from Woodlands!
We hope you have a wonderful weekend,
The Ocean's Team
