    Anemones Weekly Reflect and review

2 February 2024 (by Lisa Brown (LisaB))

Another busy week has been had by the Anemones Class, from building nests in Forest School to practising their poses in Tatty Bumpkins.

In phonics we have been practising our listening skills, playing ‘My noisy neighbour’ as we identify different environmental sounds. We have also enjoyed storytelling activities and guided reading. Perhaps has you could have a go at playing ‘my noisy neighbour’ when you are out and about over the weekend.

In maths we had been developing our number skills and had been matching number and quantity. We have been counting out counters from a larger pile and are now starting to count beyond 10.

In topic we have continued to think about the real heroes of society, making our own fire engines and police cars. We have also been busy with our guided reading sessions, story telling and made marks in ‘scribble club.’ The children have also taken part in a range of activities that support and develop their fine motor skills such as cutting, play dough and drawing.

we hope you all have a lovely weekend and will see you on Monday ready for another fun week of learning.
