Weekly reflect and review2 February 2024 (by Sarah Colverson-Martin (Sarah)) |
What a week it’s been.
The children came in on Monday to find evil pea had had his revenge, Supertato was mash. The children used this as a great opportunity to develop their pre writing skills, by making marks with fingers and hands and mark making tools. In the mashed potato.
We used broccoli to paint with to see the different patterns it would make - this turned into a more sensory experience by painting our hands and arms.
We used our number and counting skills when we made play dough with Emma, and have continued to build on our communication and language with lots of singing. We have been focusing on finger rhymes to strengthen the muscles in our hands so that we can use them for fine motor movement like gripping a pencil and turning pages in a book.
Next week we will be looking at Chinese New Year celebrations (please remember a lidded tub on Monday for stir fry.)
Have a wonderful weekend and see you all next week.
