    Anemones Weekly Reflect and review

9 February 2024 (by Lisa Brown (LisaB))

The children have taken home their valentines cards! We talked about the people we love, how we feel love and how we show it.

In phonics the children have been continuing to create new ways to move and use body percussion in music. We have enjoyed playing sound lotto and listening to sounds in the environment. The children also worked in small groups to complete their guided reading session. We have been very busy!

In maths we have been matching quantity with the correct amounts, counting one to one correspondence and counting beyond 5. We also shared our singing skills as we sang a range of number songs.

We have been learning about Chinese New Year and the children made beautiful family lanterns to take home. They also counted with the pandas, used tweezers in the rice and went on a dragon hunt!

we hope you all have a wonderful half term and look forward to seeing you all back after the holidays for another fabulous term.
