Oceans Weekly Reflect and Review1 March 2024 (by Menna (Menna)) |
A busy week in Oceans!
This week in Oceans, we’ve been busy continuing our sentence stacking of the BFG. We’ve been creating our own words using Roald Dahl as inspiration. We’ve been checking our understanding in maths and reading and seeing where our gaps are. Cyber champions visited us on Thursday and we learnt all about how to stay safe on the internet. Did you know there is a Youtube Kids app that is appropriate for children? You can find it on your app store on your device.
Next week we’ll begin our work on fractions in maths and begin to write our own versions of the BFG. We’ll continue learning about magnetism and the how forces make objects move. We’re looking forward to World Book Day on Thursday. We're turning our school into a cosy and enchanting event for the children. To make the day extra special, we invite all the children to come to school wearing their favourite pyjamas!
Throughout the day, the children will take part in a series of story sessions to ignite their imagination and love for reading. The children will have the chance to dive into the enchanting world of stories, surrounded by the comfort of their pyjamas.
We encourage you to send your child dressed in their cosiest pyjamas, ensuring they are ready for a day filled with tales, giggles, and the joy of shared stories.
Let's make World Book Day a day to remember!
We hope you have a wonderful weekend,
The Oceans Team.
