Weekly reflect and review4 March 2024 (by Sarah Colverson-Martin (Sarah)) |
Another busy week of play lead learning, music, mess and mark making.
This week John from Oxford music visited we sang songs played different instruments and used parts of our bodies to make sounds.
we celebrated St David’s day by looking at daffodils and making our own. We continued to practicing our mark making skills through free painting on the table and flour play. We read the book What the ladybird heard and talked about the different animals. Some of the children tasted the different fruit from the story of The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Strawberries and plums were the favourite.
This Thursday is World Book Day, and we're turning it into a cosy and enchanting event for the children. To make the day extra special, we invite all the children to come to school wearing their favourite pyjamas!
Throughout the day, the children will take part in a series of story sessions to ignite their imagination and love for reading. The children will have the chance to dive into the enchanting world of stories, surrounded by the comfort of their pyjamas.
We encourage you to send your child dressed in their cosiest pyjamas, ensuring they are ready for a day filled with tales, giggles, and the joy of shared stories.
Let's make World Book Day a day to remember!
Hope you all had a restful weekend.
