    Weekly reflect and review

    8 March 2024 (by Sarah Colverson-Martin (Sarah))

It's all been book, books and more books

This week the children have been busy making the book door, they chose the book 'Fidgety fish' we read it several times and then chose a picture to copy for the door.

On Thursday the children enjoyed reading books of their own choices and sharing books with each other, both indoors and outdoors. At circle they discussed their favourite books talked about the different characters and retold stories that are well known to them. 'The  Gruffalo' 'The three little pigs' 'Williams wish wellingtons' and 'We're going on a bear hunt' It was lovely to see so many children in their pyjamas.

We have been enjoying the sun in the garden, using the large construction blocks and crates to make different modes of transport and finding different songs to sing about them. Wheels on the bus, Down at the station, Row row row your boat.

The children have been fascinated by the bugs that have been eating the story tree seat. They have been digging, scooping and transporting the soft bark and mud that has been left behind. We went on a bug hunt and used magnifying glasses to help spot the tiny bugs.

Pease look out for a notice jot regarding our Easter stay and play, and another explaining the change to collection at the end of the day.

We have been thinking about special people at home that we love and how they help us. we then looked at the Golden rules and thought about hew we can be kind and helpful too. we have made cards to say thank you.

We hope you have a lovely weekend and enjoy your time together. We look forward to seeing you all on Monday.
