    Anemones Weekly Reflect and review

22 March 2024 (by Lisa Brown (LisaB))

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate our Easter stay and play. The Anemones class worked so hard to lear their ‘Inside weather’ song and were so excited to share it with you.

In phonics we have been singing songs sharing stories and playing gams that have supported our understanding of rhyme. We have also been discussing stories in increasing detail and enjoyed sharing stories in the sunshine.

In maths we have been weighing different objects and been thinking about the concepts of light and heavy and what this looks like. The children used Blanche scales, measuring different items to compare the weights.

We completed our topic work on being ‘garden explorers’ this week. Planting more seeds and looking after the bugs we have found in our garden. Next week we will be enjoying Easter activities. Please remember to bring in your Easter bonnet on Wednesday and that we will be finishing early on Thursday at 11:30 after taking part in the Easter Parade.
