Oceans Weekly Reflect and Review22 March 2024 (by Menna (Menna)) |
A fabulous week in Oceans!
This week in Oceans we’ve been busy taking on the role of being experts as part of our dramatic scenario about Florence Park being turned into a housing estate. We’ve compiled a portfolio of evidence, providing reasons to support the conservation of the area. We’ve found out about the history of the park and have written our own persuasive letters to Annelise Dodds (our local MP) about the importance of the park to us and our community.
Next week we’ll Theologists as we’ll be thinking about the question ‘what is good about Good Friday?’. In maths, we’ll be finishing off our unit on Fractions. We will be finishing for Easter at 11:30 on Thursday morning.
Notices:
Reminder - All children should be in their school uniform everyday. As we begin to move into the Spring/Summer weather and you begin to purchase Summer uniforms for your child, please ensure it is the correct uniform before making any purchases. We are aware that it is very difficult to find maroon/burgundy school dresses, so it has been decided that the summer dresses can also be PINK. We have checked and PINK gingham school dresses are available at Argos, Sainsburys, and Asda George.
All summer dresses should be maroon/burgundy or pink NOT RED as this is not our school uniform.
Parents Evening - 17th April 3-7pm.
All parents meetings will be via phone appointment at an appointed time. All children will be given a time for Wednesday 17th April, informing you when their class teacher will call.
If you would prefer to have a google meet appointment, rather than a phone call. Please email your child’s phase email address to arrange a meeting at the given time. Additionally if you are unavailable at the allotted time, please let your child's class teacher know so that they can act accordingly.
We hope you have a wonderful weekend!
