How many organs of the human body can you name?
In English the year 6 children have worked incredibly hard in writing their detailed timeline. They started by planning each plot point of their timeline by using their sentence stacking. They followed their success criteria which consisted of a number of things such as; using high level vocabulary, using dates accurately in chronology order and recording dramatic events
As mathematicians, Discovery have used protractors to measure and identify angles in triangles in addition to working on reasoning questions which require multiple -steps to answer.
Cook class has been gap filling by going over the four operations whilst looking at prime and square numbers.
Year 5 has been looking at coordinates. We have learnt how to read them and begun to think about translations.
During topic, children started Biology and looked at the human body. The children have been identifying and naming the main parts of the human circulatory system and explaining the functions of the heart, blood vessels and blood. Be sure to ask the child, which is the largest and smallest organ in the human body.
During reading comprehension the children have looked at the text of ‘To Asgard’. This poem focuses on the zodiac and Ancient Greek mythology. The children looked at each stanza in order to comprehend the text and identify the key vocabulary such as: serpents, boar and wily.
