Anemones Weekly Reflect and review24 May 2024 (by Lisa Brown (LisaB)) |
This week in Anemones we have been thinking about wildlife, in particular, bees. We have designed our own bees as we thought about what they do, why they are suffering and what we can do to help.
In phonics we have been using sound talk as we begin to listen to the sounds in words and remember them in the order in which they occur. We started by listening to the initial letter sound of our names and built this up throughout the term so that the children can now identify different cvc words using sound talk.
In maths we have been thinking about patterns. We have been looking for and making patterns within the environment, complying patterns and creating our own. We went on a pattern hunt too. This is a great game you can play during half term, just see how many patterns you can find!
As we move into the last term we will do more of our learning outside. Please ensure you have applied all day sun cream on your child before they start school so they are protected from the sun. Please can you also send a sun hat and water bottle that is clearly labelled with your child’s name. Thank you.
We hope you all have a wonderful half term and will see you back on Monday 3rd June for another busy term of learning and fun!
