    Anemones Weekly Reflect and review

    21 June 2024 (by admin)

This week we have been very busy learning about how the water cycle works, we have been learning about rivers, swamps, lakes and seas. The children made their own sea creatures and have enjoyed using a range of new tools to make their jelly fish. We also learnt about Eid and made beautiful mobiles to take home. This led to lots of conversations around celebrations. The children shared what celebrations they enjoy and how they celebrate different events with their families.

In maths we have been learning about what number comes before a given number, experimenting with their own symbols, marks and numerals. We have been busy grouping objects and sorting. It has been a very busy week!

In phonics this week we have focused on the letter S. It would be great if you could go on a hunt over the weekend to find as many objects as possible that begin with the letter sound S. Next week will be learning about the sound of the letter T.

    Notices -

July 5th - the children have their end of year celebration and picnic. Everyone is invited. Please let Lisa know next week if you would like to come or if you would like your child to have a school packed lunch booked for that day.

July 10th - this is our end of term splash party. Please send your child into school with their swim costume, sun hat, towel, spare clothes and spare shoes. Only children with spare clothes will be able to take part as they will get very wet!

Important - please ensure your child has suncream applied before school. We spend a lot of time outside and your child may burn if they are not protected. We do not apply suncream in school, therefore we recommend that you apply all day suncream.

Have a lovely weekend and we will see you back on Monday for another fun week of learning.
