Anemones Weekly Reflect and Review28 June 2024 (by Lisa Brown (LisaB)) |
It has been a lovely week with lots of time spent enjoying the sunny garden! Thank you for providing hats and water bottles.
This week the children in Anemones have been working hard to create rivers using the sand pits and digging area, they observed the movement of the water as it ran over the sand and down into the sea (a very big hole they dug out!). We talked about different animals that live in the sea and have made paintings using different strokes to recreate the movement of the water.
In maths we have been focused on numbers; matching numbers, recognising numbers, counting objects and working out 1 more than and 1 less than a given number.
In phonics we have been learning about the letter T. Please continue to support your child hunting for objects over the weekend that begin with the letter T. Next week we will be learning about the letter D.
It has been a lovely sunny week and the children have been practising their physical skills as they used the hoops to hoopla, played with bats and balls and rode on the bikes and scooters. They dressed up as superheroes and made mud pies in the mud kitchen. Next week you can enjoy all this fun at our picnic on Friday 5th July 11-1. Please let Lisa know next week if you would like to join us.
Thank you.
