Anemones Weekly Reflect and Review13 September 2024 (by Lisa Brown (LisaB)) |
This week the children have been really busy. We have focused on colour recognition and been painting using the primary and secondary colours. Balloon painting was really fun! Next week we will be making fizzing colour rainbows!
In phonics we are listening out for the environmental sounds that we can hear. We went on a sound walk in the garden and created our own songs based on what we could hear. We created some very interesting songs!
In maths we have been learning about 2D shapes. The children are recognising a circle, triangle and square. We looked for these shapes within the environment and will continue with this next week.
Every Tuesday the children are able to experience a forest school session. This is a wonderful learning experience as they discover more about the natural world. Please ensure your child has waterproof all in ones, wellies and spare clothes in school every day - we go out in all weathers.
The children also enjoyed their weekly yoga session with Tatty Bumkin and developed their gross motor skills with Danny Go Go! It is such great fun.
We hope you have a lovely weekend and perhaps you could go on your own sound walk, we would love to hear your sound songs!
