Anemones Weekly Reflect and Review20 September 2024 (by Lisa Brown (LisaB)) |
We have had another wonderful and busy week in the Anemones class. We have been thinking about The 3 little pigs this week and how we can use different materials to build houses. The children used straw, wooden blocks and hay to build with - it was very tricky! The children also created their own fizz in rainbows and made their own play dough. We are very busy in Anemones.
In maths we have been continuing to learn about 2D shapes and have been on a different shape hunt each day. We are focusing on a circle, square and triangle. Next week we will be learning about numbers to 5.
In phonics we have been developing our listening skills using the musical instruments. It was great fun and we were able to enjoy singing new songs. Next week we will begin to think about the story of Goldilocks and the 3 bears. We have really enjoyed a wider range of stories together this week and the children are really engaged. It is such a great benefit to the children to listen to stories, we would love to hear about the stories you share at home.
Please can you ensure your child has a waterproof all in one and wellies in school as we go out an explore every day and in all weathers. If it is raining we will still go out to play so your child needs to be wrapped up warm and dry.
Have a lovely weekend.
