This week in Explorers
As mathematicians, all classes have continued we have continued to explore place value, reading up to 7 digit numbers, ordering numbers and finding missing numbers on number lines.
As writers, Discovery have completed their diary entries from the perspective of Tenzing Norgay. Aegean and Beagle have been exploring differing characters points of view, feelings and emotions whilst Endeavour have continued their sentence stacking of the Hobbit where we have reached Smaug’s lair! The children have written persuasive letters to the Tolkien society, requesting permission to learn the Hobbit, an opera. Fingers crossed they say yes!
Discovery and Endeavour have been geographers this week, finding out about the layers of the earth, how volcanoes are formed and where they can find them on Earth. Aegean and Beagle have been scientists, exploring our characteristics and where they come from.
