Anemones Weekly Reflect and review27 September 2024 (by Lisa Brown (LisaB)) |
We had great fun splashing in the puddles this week! The rain is so much fun. Please make sure your child has wellies and waterproofs in school every day.
This week we have been thinking about the 3 little pigs. The children have made their own pictures of pigs, enjoyed laying with the farm animals and thinking about how to build using straw, sticks and bricks. The children have also enjoyed playing outside, splashing in puddles, making rivers and digging in the mud.
In phonics we are developing our listening skills, playing new games and singing using different volumes. We have also been reinforcing the importance of turn taking. The children have also developed their listening skills in story time as we have started to discuss the stories we share in increasing detail.
In maths we have been reciting numbers, sorting objects relating to size and been making comparisons. The children have been sorting the farm animals and enjoyed our garden hunt as we looked at objects of different sizes. The children also enjoyed playing their new favourite game ‘what’s the time Mr Wolf?’
We hope you all have a lovely weekend and would love to hear about the games you all enjoy playing at home. We will see you on Monday for another busy week.
