    Pod weekly reflect and review

    15 November 2024 (by Sarah Colverson-Martin (Sarah))

It's all been a little bit red

This week we have been thinking about Remembrance, the children made painted Poppies with potatoes and corks, used red rice and pompoms for deconstructive art and creation to make Poppies. In the younger room the children had red gloop and playdough to use to represent remembrance.

We have shared the book 'Night Monkey Day Monkey' which is our topic book, and thought about animals that sleep in the day and those that sleep at night.

Next week the children are looking at the book 'Whatever next' and are off to the moon.

We have been practicing our balancing skills in the garden on the balance beams and when wobbling off into the 'water' being chased by Sarah the shark this has kept us warm as we ran round the garden. Please remember warm clothes for next week as the temperature is going to drop, and outdoor play is good for our overall development and mental health.

We have new families that have joined the Pod this term we welcome them to our family. A big thank you to all the families that have sent in a family picture for our family display board these can be emailed to thepod@stfrideswides.co.uk There is plenty of space for many more.

A reminder that our annual open morning is on Saturday 30th November 9-11 all families are welcome, and please share with any friends or families you know that are looking for a school or nursery space. Have you spotted any buses advertising our school? keep your eyes peeled!

Thank you for your continued support have a fab weekend The Pod team.
