    Weekly reflect and review

    2 March 2025 (by Sarah Colverson-Martin (Sarah))

New topic new term. We have been busy

This week the children have started looking at our new topic of 'Garden explores and mini beasts'.

We have used our investigation skills looking at the big mini beasts with magnifying glasses and making different prints with them in playdough.

The children have explored paint in various ways and have enjoyed using the brushes both standing and on the floor. We talked about what happens when different colours meet and how they make a new colour.

With the playdough we have used lots of natural materials bringing the outside in.

We spent as much time as we could in the garden putting on our wellies and jumping in the mud and the puddles after the rain had stopped.

The younger children have been practicing their fine muscular movements using our new fidget tool, which was a good challenge for some but with help were able top over come their difficulties.

Next week we will be celebrating St David's day, Pancake day and World book day. We are looking forward to seeing you all dressed up as your favourite book characters on Thursday.

We would like to share with you all that Kimberley has had her beautiful baby, Tommy joined her family on Thursday morning. Congratulations.

We hope you have all had a lovely weekend and have enjoyed the sunshine. See you tomorrow.
