    Lots of learning.

This week the children have continued to explore mini beasts and insects. They have been on bug hunts in the garden and found wood lice, worms and beetles, and enjoyed the short lasting sunshine.

On Monday the children made their own interpretations of daffodil's as we celebrated St David's day. We extending our vocabulary and knowledge as we talked about the different parts of the flower using the correct biological language stem. petals. trumpet.

On Tuesday we celebrated Pancake day, we tasted and shared pancakes and made our own in the tuff tray using flour and water.

We used the pancakes in our number and counting games, how many do you have? I have one more/less, matching the number of spots on the dice with the correct number.

It was lovely to see so many of you dressed up on Thursday on World book day, we read lots of stories including some of our favorite's 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt', 'The Gruffalo' and 'Brown Bear Brown Bear what do you see?'

We used the puppets to retell some traditional stories, Goldilocks and the three bears and The Gingerbread Boy.

The children worked hard to make our book door to celebrate World Book day. We were pleased to win the competition, our prize's were new books and some new dressing up clothes.

The children have been using their gross motor development as they have practiced riding the bikes and pushing themselves along on scooters.

We hope you all have had a lovely weekend.

Next week we will be focusing on the book 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' and exploring it in lots of different ways.

Date for your diary Easter Stay and Play Tuesday 1st April 9.30-11. It would be lovely to see you all.
