Dear parents and carers,

We have had a few incidents of children reporting using Social media apps at home resulting in online bullying. All social media apps and sites have a rating of 13+ to sign up for an account without parental permission. We want to help keep the children safe. Attached are links to the NSPCC website with helpful advice to support your child. We spoke to the children in years 5 and 6 this morning to explain the risks of using apps such as WhatsApp, Snapchat and Facebook. 

We will be offering a parent information session next term to help you with parental controls and guidance to support you at home. If you need help with a device please speak to your child's teacher who will be happy to direct you to the right support.
