Cycling to school starts the day off well!7 May 2025 (by Goncalo Silveiro (Goncalo)) |
Lots of children say they would like to cycle to school rather than drive or walk. There's a new initiative happening on lots of school routes, not just in the UK but also internationally. It's called a bike bus.
A bike bus is a group of people who ride to school together, with a set route for people to join in along the way. It's an easy, safe, and enjoyable way for children to get to school.
Would your child (and maybe you) cycle with the ‘bike bus’ if there was one?
Cyclox wants to help link children and parents up with each other and to share guidance as to how to set up and run a bike bus.
Maybe it could be a thing for Fridays. Fresh air, friends, and that Friday feeling.

If you're curious and might be interested in taking part on your child's route to school, please email operations@cyclox.org . We'll do our best to link you up with others as well as sharing experience and advice from other bike buses.
