As writers: 

In Discovery, we have begun to plan our narrative based on the title ‘The Never Ending Tunnel’. We have focused on five plot points whilst using all of our spelling, punctuation and grammar skills and ambitious vocabulary.

In Beagle, we have been planning and writing our own stories about the robots adventures, following on from the story that we have been focusing on.

Endeavour have finished their sentence stacking about the crime of the The Midnight Fox and will begin writing their own newspaper articles next week. 

As mathematicians: 

In Discover, we have continued to consolidate all our previous learning ahead of SATS next week. 

In Beagle, we have focused on rules surrounding angles on a line, and within shapes whilst Endeavour have been using protractors to measure angles and calculate dimensions of polygons. 

As scientists and geographers: Beagle have been focusing on the climate across Brazil, as we finish our work on the America’s. We’ve been creating climate graphs and comparing the different areas. Endeavour have been thinking about classification and DNA, using jelly tots and strawberry laces to model the DNA. 

Next week: 

As you are aware, SATs will start next Monday. A parent letter has been sent out with all the relevant information to the year 6s. Please can you ensure your child arrives on time to allow for a calm and relaxing start before the text. 

We would like to wish our year 6 children all the best for next week. They have been working incredibly hard and we can only ask them to try their best . Remember, Go shine your light!
