Welcome Back!

A big welcome to our new families, and welcome back to those returning! The children are settling in really well, and we’re excited for a wonderful term ahead.

This Term’s Topic: Down in the Woods
This term we’ll be exploring animals that live in the woods and enjoying stories set in woodland settings. Our focus story is The Gruffalo.

What We’ve Been Up To

This week, the children have been getting to know their new key person and building friendships with their peers. We used emotion puppets and the story ‘The Colour Monster’ to help the children express how they are feeling.

We also read ‘Elmer’, discussing how we are all different and special. The children enjoyed making their own colourful Elmer's using tissue paper.

Our younger children have been practicing large mark making with brushes and paint. They’ve been enjoying the story ‘Guess How Much I Love You’ while beginning to form bonds with their new key person.

Reminders for Parents

If your child wears wellies to nursery, please provide a change of shoes as wellies can be uncomfortable to wear all day.

Please ensure all of your child’s belongings are clearly labelled, as many items look very similar.
