Rockpool weekly Reflect and Review13 November 2025 (by Lisa Brown (LisaB)) |
"Oh wow, sparkles! So pretty"
The Rockpool Class have had another busy week. In phonics the children have been working on the letter sound 'a'. Next week will be focusing on the letter sound 's'. As we learn a new sound each week we will reflect upon those we have learnt already and will enjoy a range of play based activities that support us to practise our new phonetic knowledge.
In maths the children have been working on their counting skills, ordering numbers to 10 and thinking about different shapes. Joining shapes in different ways was great fun!
In topic we have been getting our glitter out to create sparkly pictures. The children have engaged in a range of creative mark making activities and are using a range of tools and media to create their master pieces!
As the weather is getting very wet and cold please can we ask that you bring indoor shoes for your child to wear in the classroom. We can keep them in school to change into when they arrive. The children also need warm, waterproof coats to keep them dry whilst playing outside. Thank you.
Have a lovely evening and we will see you in the morning for another fun Friday!
