This week in music the children have started to learn their new Christmas songs! They may well come home singing jingle bells! We have also been busy making our 'little angels'. They children made these for their loved ones for Christmas, as we start to think about the Christmas season as the time for giving, they are making thier own treats to give. They have also been busy creating their masterpiece using a range of tools and materials.

In phonics this week we focused on the letter sound 'd', next week we will be focusing on the letter 't'. Please can you support your child at home by sharing stories together. The children are starting to share their thoughts about the stories we share as we look at the pictures togather and discuss what we can see and what we think might happen next.

In maths we have been thinking about shapes and looking at the properties of different shapes. The children used the numicon shapes to make their own images. We are continuing to develop our knowledge of counting and number. 

Please can we ask that, if possible, you can send in a photo of your child. A family photo, a photo of your child celebrating an event, at a religious place of worship, wearing traditional dress... we would love for your child to share these with us. Please send them in next week if possible. Thank you.
