Rockpool Weekly Reflect and Review4 December 2025 (by Lisa Brown (LisaB)) |
Let's get threading!
This week the children have been practising their threading skills as they made Christmas gifts for their families. We talked about what we like and what the people we love like. The children chose their colours, had a go at threading and drew a smiley teddy face for their hand puppets.
In phonics the children have focused on the letter T and next week we will be learning about the letter sound I. We will also be learning about the Christmas story and using the Godly Play sets to share our Christmas ideas.
In maths the children are enjoying a new range of activities. They have been exploring shape and are starting to identify properties of shape. They have been completing puzzles and sorting objects by colour and shape.
On Wednesday 17th December we would like to invite you all for a Christmas Stay and Play session. This will be from 1:00-2:00. Please let your child's key person know next week if you would like to come. Please go to the main Reception to sign in just before 1:00 so we can take you to the Rockpool Class to enjoy Christmas activities.
Many thank
The Rockpool Team
