It was lovely to see so many of you at our end-of-term event, and we hope you enjoyed visiting us.

It has been wonderful to welcome the children back this week. We have missed Caimas, who moved over the holidays, and wish him all the very best.

Our theme this term is Weather, which has already given us lots to explore, with sunshine, snow, and fog. The children had great fun playing in the snow and enjoyed warming up with hot chocolate on Tuesday.

On Monday, Andy, our music therapist, joined us to start the new term with steel drums and follow-the-leader songs, which the children really enjoyed.

All children have now begun phonics sessions three times a week. Our focus is on gaining information from reading by answering questions about stories, as well as composing and holding a sentence in their head before writing it.
