We've been revisiting what we know about ourselves this week as we've explored emotional literacy;  managing our feelings when transitioning from home to school after time away, reminding ourselves of expectations and reviewing our 5 point plans to help us regulate.

We enjoyed watching The Snow Man and then basing our Big Write on it, it has no words so we inferred the feelings and emotions from what we were seeing.

We noticed that all the children are interested in the weather and so have begun playing The Temperature Game during family snack time, great fun! 

In Maths we have enjoyed some treats as we've made arrays to help us learn out times tables which some of us have extended to multiplying using coin cards.

Our topic has taken us around the world finding out how New Year is celebrated in England, Scotland, Australia and China.  Ask us about how people from those countries celebrate!

Next week we are back swimming and look forward to shining our lights in all we do.
