This week we've started a new language and literacy unit and have been focusing on being inventors and scientists, looking at the story of Frankenstein and the Tale of 2 Sisters. We’ve created our own robots and used our words to practice our descriptions before forming a detailed descriptions. We’ve looked at short videos of the local BMW plant and how they use robots to help build Minis!
In maths we've started division for some children and continued double and half for others. We continue to spiral back to coin cards (which help with BIG multiplications) to build our confidence in using them.
In Topic we began to learn about explorers and how life was different back then, some children couldn't believe they had no phones or internet!
We've started to learn about two different explorers: Christopher Columbus and Neil Armstrong. Ask us about the facts we have gathered about their different expeditions, equipment and ways of travel.
As part of Mulberry Bush we have been developing our skill and ability to play along side others.
