Rockpool Reflect and Review26 February 2026 (by Jemma Crowder (Jemma)) |
In Rockpool this week, we have enjoyed doing group phonics, practising and going over the sounds we have already learnt. Then singing the Jolly Phonics song as a whole class together.
This week we have enjoyed playing and exploring in the garden, enjoying the dry weather. We have had lots of fun using the swing with our friends and taking it in turns to push each other. We have also had fun running around chasing each other and making marks on the ground with the chalks.
In our tray we have been exploring pasta and rice, using the spoons to scoop into the cupcakes cases to make 'cupcakes' for each other.
In sports hall we have been able to practice our balancing, climbing and running by using the balancing plank and climbing the ladder on our apparatus.
Overall we have had a lovely week settling back in after half term.
Please can we ask that all children have some spare clothes including socks in their bag.
Thursday 5th of March - World book day!
Please come in dressed up as your favourite book character or some cosy PJ's with your favourite book to share with your friends and teacher's.
Thanks,
The Rockpool Team.
