    Coots Reflect and Review

23 April 2026 (by Sue Woodward (SueW))

    Term 5 Week 2

This week, we have continued exploring our focus book The Train Ride. Many of the children can now confidently sing a karaoke version beautifully! We have also enjoyed reading Red Lorry Yellow Lorry, which the children have found great fun.

In maths, we have been focusing on doubling numbers. Some children are confidently doubling up to 10, while others are exploring much higher numbers.

We were also delighted to welcome another new child to Coots class. He has settled in very well, and all of the children have shown excellent social skills in making him feel welcome.

Outdoor learning has been full of creativity, with lots of water play. The children worked together to create an impressive water channel, guiding water from the tap through several pipes into a tub.

Our oracy focus this week has been: to speak audibly so you can be heard and understood. The progress some children are making is truly wonderful to see.

    Well done, everyone!
